About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Strategy: Develop and refine regional compliance frameworks aligned with global standards, focusing on market expansion and product launches.
- Regulatory Leadership: Serve as primary liaison with U.S. (CFTC, SEC, state regulators), Canadian, and Bahamian authorities; oversee examinations and reporting.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the Americas compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and adaptability.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct regional risk assessments (AML/CFT, sanctions screening) and implement robust consumer protection protocols.
- Product Advisory: Guide compliant integration of derivatives, digital assets, and new financial products.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12–15 years in senior compliance roles within financial services, with deep U.S. regulatory expertise (CFTC, SEC, NYDFS BitLicense).
- Proven success in multi-jurisdictional compliance programs and regulatory examinations.
- Advanced degree (JD, MBA) preferred; expertise in Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and CFTC regulations.
- Experience in Canadian (FINTRAC) or Bahamian (DARE Act) regulations is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $240,000–$360,000 (based on experience and location).
