Understanding Order Quantity Precision and Minimum Order Size
Order Quantity Precision refers to the smallest increment by which an order can be adjusted.
- Example: For ETH/USDT perpetual contracts with a face value of 0.1 ETH and precision of 0.1 contracts, the minimum order adjustment is 0.1 contracts (0.01 ETH).
Minimum Order Size is the smallest allowable order quantity, which must be a multiple of the precision value.
- Example: If the minimum size is 1 contract (0.1 ETH), orders must be ≥1 contract but can increase in 0.1-contract increments (e.g., 1.1, 1.2).
Display Rules for Positions and Orders
After adjustment:
- Positions and pending orders may display fractional contract quantities (e.g., 10.5 contracts).
- API, strategy, and copy-trading users will see updated precision values in their interfaces.
Order Submission Rules
- New/modified orders must adhere to the updated precision and minimum size.
- Example: For SHIB/USDT perpetuals, if precision changes to 0.1 contracts (100,000 SHIB), orders must be multiples of 0.1 contracts (minimum 0.1 contracts).
