What You’ll Be Doing
- Data Exploration: Profile on-chain, off-chain, fiat, and KYC datasets to identify structures, gaps, and lineage. Document findings for engineering teams.
- Feature Prototyping: Develop ML and rule-based features (e.g., transaction velocity, risk scores) using SQL/Python and big data tools.
- Quality Validation: Conduct QC checks, anomaly detection, and sampling to ensure feature stability before production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Refine features with modelers and investigators based on performance feedback.
- Feature Catalog Maintenance: Version prototypes, document lineage, and metrics for seamless industrialization.
- Regulatory Support: Assist Compliance teams with historical data analysis for audits or enforcement actions.
- Industry Trends: Evaluate emerging AML techniques (graph ML, LLMs) for crypto/fiat monitoring applications.
What We Look For In You
- 4+ years in data engineering/analytics with AML/compliance experience (preferred).
- Expertise in SQL, Python (Pandas/PySpark), and big data stacks (Spark, Databricks).
- ML fundamentals knowledge (model performance, feature impact).
- Ability to translate AML concepts (e.g., sanctions exposure) into quantifiable features.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ambiguous data.
- Clear communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Curiosity about crypto ecosystems, VASP regulations, and AML data flows (KYT/KYC).
